 来自英国伦敦，自小在充满音乐的环境下成长，喜欢的乐风从爵士、节奏蓝调到饶舌通通不放过，极为喜爱黑人饶舌女子三人团Salt ‘n’ Pepa的她，在10岁时组织起白人饶舌团体，13岁获得第一把吉他，同时开啟创作与演唱的兴致。就读戏剧学校时，开始探索不同领域音乐，对於乐器弹奏更努力学习不輟。16岁开始就四处登台演出，磨练临场经验与胆识，在朋友Tyler James穿针引线下，Amy的DEMO带赢得唱片公司一纸合约，2003年推出首张大碟《Frank》，衝上英国金榜Top13位置，夺下白金销售，入选Echoes「英国年度最佳灵魂乐专辑」。(转)

 Amy Winehouse的嗓音很特别，仿佛有一种老式JAZZ般的声线，第一次听的时候还以为她是个年过四十岁的女人，结果网上一查2007年发行《back to black》的时候才23岁。无论风格还是唱法Amy Winehouse 的确是现在一批当代女歌手里很独特的一个。
